Juventus not giving up on Lisandro Lopez
The Serie A giants remain keen to sign the experienced attacker, but a transfer is by no means a certainty yet as Olympique Lyonnais are reluctant to let him leave on loan
EXCLUSIVEBy Romeo Agresti
Juventus have not given up hope of luring Lisandro Lopez away from Olympique Lyonnais on a temporary basis this winter, Goal.com understands.
The Serie A champions attempted to sign the Argentine striker on a six-month loan deal earlier in January, but their offer was turned down by Lyon as the Ligue 1 side only want to outright sell the experienced attacker.
Nevertheless, Juve president Andrea Agnelli contacted his Lyon counterpart Jean-Michel Aulas earlier this week to re-discuss a potential transfer, and the Bianconeri are now preparing an improved bid for Lopez.
Juventus are willing to pay a loan fee of €2 million to secure the striker's services until the end of the season, with an option to make the move permanent in the summer for an additional €7m.
The reigning Italian champions are determined to add some more firepower to their squad this winter, and have previously been linked with players such as Ciro Immobile, who is already co-owned by Juve, and Fernando Llorente.
Genoa are reluctant to let go of Immobile, though, while Bilbao have no intention to sell Llorente, who instead looks likely to move to Turin on a Bosman transfer in the summer.
