South Africa's Siyabonga Sangweni backs Ghana to win the 2012 Afcon
The Bafana Bafana defender believes that the Black Stars have what it takes to win the 2012 Afcon title
The interest in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations hasn't completely evaporated in the Rainbow Nation despite South Africa's failure to qualify for the continent's premier football competition.
Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana defender Siyabonga Sangweni has been keeping keen interest in the proceedings at the Afcon.
While he is keeping keen interest on close buddy Joseph Musonda who is doing duty for Zambia Sangweni believes it is actually Chipolopolo's semi-final opponents Ghana who will go on and win the tournament.
"I have been following the tournament with keen interest because there are players playing in the tournament that I know very well like my friend Joseph," said Sangweni, according to Kickoff.com.
"I obviously have a soft spot for Zambia based on the fact that they are a team with several players that I know. I wish them well and will be happy to see them win the tournament. However, a part of me tells me that Ghana should win this tournament. I actually believe they have the capacity to win it.
"If Ghana plays to its full potential then I see nobody stopping them because they have the squad," said Sangweni.
The Chipolopolo face up against the Black Stars on Wednesday evening in the first semi-final with Mali squaring up with Ivory Coast in the other last four encounter.
