Neymar and Dani Alves have warned their Brazil team-mates of the threat posed to their World Cup hopes by Chile's star man, Alexis Sanchez.
The Selecao pair play alongside the winger at Barcelona and will be reunited with their Camp Nou colleague in Belo Horizonte this weekend when Luiz Felipe Scolari's side take on their South American rivals in an eagerly-awaited last-16 tie.
"I always speak to Alexis on the phone and now we are going to come up against each other," Neymar is quoted as saying by Fifa's official website.
"Alexis is a star. I admire him a lot. He is a great player and we will need to be careful with him. We can't leave him any space."
That is a view shared by full-back Dani Alves, who will have to contend with Alexis' footwork and searing pace at Mineirao.
"He is one of their most dangerous players," the defender stated. "Of course, Chile have others but Alexis makes the difference.
"But we have been making strides ever since the first game [a 3-1 win over Croatia]. Now we have made it to the last 16 with confidence and that boosts our chances.
"Since the first game we have improved as we hoped to do."
