The defender and midfielder both return to Louis van Gaal's squad having fallen out of favour in recent times, while uncapped PSV youngster Memphis Depay could make his debut

Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal has recalled Gregory van der Wiel and Nigel de Jong for this month's World Cup qualifiers against Hungary and Turkey.

The Paris Saint-Germain defender and AC Milan midfielder had fallen out of favour with Oranje in recent times, with Van der Wiel returning after over a year in international exile, while De Jong last featured for the national team in November 2012.

Furthermore, PSV youngster Memphis Depay could make his debut for Holland after impressing in the opening months of the 2013-14 campaign. The winger, 19, has already represented Netherlands at Under-17, U-19 and U-21 level, but has yet to make his first appearance for the senior side.

Goalkeepers Maarten Stekelenburg and Jeroen Zoet both miss out due to injury, while Paul Verhaegh, Ruben Schaken and Ricky van Wolfswinkel didn't make the cut after they were included in the provisional squad.

Netherlands have already secured top spot in their section to secure qualification for next year's tournament in Brazil.
