Arsenal reject Fulham bid to sign Park Chu-Young on loan for rest of the season
The Gunners have turned down a bid from Martin Jol’s side to take the Korean forward to Craven Cottage until the end of the season

Arsenal have rejected an approach from Fulham to sign striker Park Chu-Young on loan until the summer, Goal.com can disclose.
The Cottagers have been scouring Europe for striker options in recent weeks and make an enquiry for the South Korea captain, who has struggled to force his way into Arsene Wenger’s team.
But the Arsenal manager is confident Park, who cost the club £2.6 million, will be more effective in the second half of the season.
The Korean has made only one Premier League substitute appearance and only five in total for the club since his move from Monaco at the end of last August, scoring just a single goal for the Gunners.
Fulham were keen on bringing Park from Ligue 1 last summer before Arsenal made their late move and stole him from under the noses of Lille shortly before the deadline.
Fulham have now cast their attention elsewhere and, as exclusively revealed by Goal.com, are closing in on the £8.3m signing of Borussia Dortmund striker Lucas Barrios. Sources have said the deal is ’90 per cent done’.
The west Londoners have also signed Stuttgart striker Pavel Pogrebnyak subject to the Russia international receiving work permit clearance.
One player who is set to leave Craven Cottage is Bobby Zamora after Fulham agreed to sell the England international this afternoon for £5m.
However, Fulham will not allow the 31-year-old to leave unless the Barrios deal is completed.
