Bayern’s talismanic striker stated that he wants to improve with each season and help his team win titles.
Bayern Munich’s Mario Gomez is the most in-form striker having scored 50 goals, both for club and country, in 2011, the 26 year old is targeting to improve his tally in 2012.
He has already scored 16 goals in the Bundesliga and seven in the Champions League which highlights his hunger for goals.
On being asked whether he could better the goals tally this year, Gomez told Goal.com,” I will see. This is a high score; 50 goals in one year is very, very much. But I like to get better every year.”

Having won the exhibition tie against India with a 4-0 scoreline, Gomez reflected back at the time spent in the second most populated nation.
“It was a nice experience here. It was very nice and people are very, very friendly. We had a nice time but a very short. We couldn’t see much as we arrived only yesterday and we leave tonight. So, it was nice.”
Gomez has come a long way since the disappointing Euro 2008 campaign where he missed several open chances after having had a top season with Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.
The former German footballer of the Year said that he wants to undo his wrongs and fire his nation to win the continental competition.
“Yes, of course. I hope I can score there also and we win the Championship.”
