thumbnail Hello,

The Germany international has strained an adductor muscle in training, and will face a late fitness test to see whether he can feature on Saturday afternoon at the Allianz Arena

Bayern Munich have suffered a blow ahead of their Bundesliga clash with Freiburg, as Bastian Schweinsteiger has picked up an injury in training and is doubtful for the game.

The Germany international picked up an adductor muscle strain on Friday in a team runout ahead of the match. The 27-year-old is now rated as 50/50 to feature in the fixture, and will undergo a late fitness test.

"He has a strain, and is still in pain, but I have hope it will be a speedy return," coach Jupp Heynckes told reporters at the club's training facilities.

The Bavarians have a mini-crisis in their midfield, as they will already be without Arjen Robben for the game, and have their Champions League opener against Villarreal in midweek.

The side from the Allianz Arena have won three out of their first four domestic fixtures, and will look to go top of the standings with three points on Saturday afternoon.

Following on from this, the German side open their European account against Juan Carlos Garrido's side at El Madrigal on Wednesday.
