The Germany international has fully recovered from his hamstring problem and is brimming with confidence ahead of this weekend's Bundesliga gameBayern Munich striker Mario Gomez is eagerly anticipating the upcoming Bundesliga match at home against Freiburg on Saturday afternoon.
The Bavarians return to match action after the international break and Gomez is confident of getting a good result, although he has warned his team-mates not to underestimate their opponents.
"It's a must-win game for us and we have to take it seriously. It won't be easy because the international break has disrupted our preparations," Gomez was quoted as saying on the official Bayern website.
"Nevertheless, if we shut up shop at the back, we're halfway there. We're basically always going to score at the other end."
The Germany international spent the past couple of days on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury, but he's raring to go again.
"The hamstring’s in good shape and I've now spent two days training with the rest of the team. I had to go easy Wednesday, but I gave it 100 percent again on Thursday, and there's been no reaction."
Bayern sit atop of the Bundesliga table at the moment with nine points from four games.
