The Germany international says that the Bavarians are now stronger under Pep Guardiola than they were when they won the treble with Jupp HeynckesPhilipp Lahm believes Bayern Munich are even better than last season and is thus supremely confident they can win silverware again this term.
The Bavarians are determined to become the first club in history to successfully defend the Champions League, while their domestic dominance shows no sign of abating given Pep Guardiola's men are currently 23 points clear in the Bundesliga and already through to the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal.
Consequently, Lahm feels that Bayern are even better placed to pull off a treble this season.
"We had a great year in 2013, but I think there's more to come from this Bayern," the Germany international was quoted as saying by SID.
"We are in control in each game and always have things in our own hand. This confidence is the consequence of our good results and makes us even stronger than last year.
"It's a good feeling to know that it is very hard to stop us so long as we are on top of our game.
"This can make the difference for us when we meet a team that are on the same level as us."
Lahm has been a key figure at Bayern so far this term, making 35 appearances in all competitions.
