The Germany icon is impressed with the former Barcelona coach's start to life at FCB but believes Borussia Dortmund can trouble his side in the Bundesliga title race
The 42-year-old took charge of Bayern this summer after a one-year sabbatical following a four-year spell with Barcelona and Beckenbauer is impressed with the Spaniard's start to life at the Bundesliga champions.
"Guardiola is like a man possessed, but in a good way," Beckenbauer was quoted as saying by Bild.
"If he spots a minor thing that he doesn't like, he can go absolutely crazy about it.
"Generally speaking, though, the Bayern job is one of the easiest positions out there. The conditions for a coach are ideal here."
Beckenbauer then went on to discuss the Bundesliga title race and insisted that Bayern Munich face stiff competition from Borussia Dortmund.
"Dortmund are definitely capable of winning the league title if you look at their squad and abilities. I can see them fighting for the title right until the end of the season."
Bayern currently hold a one-point lead over Dortmund in the Bundesliga table.
