The Roten sporting director has been impressed by the new coach's "obsession" with football and insisted the club have not agreed a deal with Barcelona's Thiago AlcantaraBayern Munich sporting director Matthias Sammer says the club are proud to have Pep Guardiola as their coach.
The former Barcelona boss took the reins at the Allianz Arena following the departure of veteran Jupp Heynckes and the 45-year-old is fascinated by the Spaniard.
"We are proud that the most famous coach in the world is here. The bottom line is that we all want the same thing - success," he told Bild am Sonntag.
"For me, it is remarkable to see how Pep works, how he discusses, how he presents himself. This obsession, this craziness about football - you can't top that."
Sammer went on to insist Bayern are yet to agree a deal for confirmed target Thiago Alcantara of Barcelona, despite rumours to the contrary.
"Why would we not communicate it if something was signed?" he added. "No, of course that is not the case."Finally, the former Germany international told his players they must not get frustrated with the club's rotation policy as they look to build upon their treble-winning campaign last term.
"The secret of Bayern last season is that egos did not play any role, but we have all been working relentlessly for the cause and success. That's how it should stay.
"If you look at the schedule, especially with the World Cup next summer, it should be obvious that you need a big squad. Sure, you always want to play as a player. These decisions are made by Pep."
