The Poland star has put pen to paper on a new contract at the Westfalenstadion which will keep him at the club for another five years
The Poland skipper scored 11 goals and provided 12 assists during 27 Bundesliga appearances this term and sporting director Michael Zorc is delighted that he decided to commit to the club.
"With his character and quality on the pitch, Kuba is an important asset for our team," he was quoted as saying by the club's official website.
"He has made quite a splash around Europe last season. We are happy that we can plan with him on a long-term basis for the future."
Meanwhile, Kuba himself has voiced his delight at signing a new deal, saying the city has become like a home to him.
"By now, Dortmund is like a second home to me. When my contract expires, I'll be able to look back on 10 years at BVB.
"I'm very, very proud that a top-class side like Borussia Dortmund have so much trust in me."
