Ribery set for Bayern comeback

The Frenchman missed his side's loss against Leverkusen at the weekend, but could return to match in Wednesday's cup clash with Kaiserslautern
Jupp Heynckes has received some encouraging news on the injury front ahead of Bayern Munich's DFB-Pokal match against Kaiserslautern as Franck Ribery could make his comeback again after a brief spell on the sidelines due to injury.

The France international picked up a knock in his side's 1-0 Champions League win over Lille last week, and consequently missed Sunday's Bundesliga loss against Bayer Leverkusen.

The Bavarians initially feared that Ribery would also miss the match against Kaiserslautern, but the winger is hopeful that he will be match fit in time.

"Things are going better again. We will have to wait and see how things go in training, but I hope to play again versus Lautern," he told TZ.

Wednesday's match at the Allianz Arena is scheduled to kick off at 20:30CET.
