'Schalke spirits soaring' - Afellay relishing his spell in Germany

The Barcelona winger, on loan at die Konigsblauen this season, insists his side are enjoying their football after two impressive results
Ibrahim Afellay has revealed that spirits in the Schalke camp could not be higher after successive victories over Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal.

Last Saturday saw die Knappen win the first Revierderby of the season 2-1 as Huub Stevens' men saw off die Borussen, before they then put in an excellent performance at the Emirates stadium to down the Gunners 2-0 on Wednesday night.

The Dutch international, who managed to get on the scoresheet in both Westphalia and north London, now wants more success from his colleagues in the coming games.

"It's a lot of fun to play in this team," the foward told the club's official website.

"We have beaten Arsenal 2-0, that's a very good feeling.

"First we have won in Dortmund, then at Arsenal. We want to continue against Nuremberg."

Schalke take on die Legende on Saturday at Gelsenkirchen, with kick-off at 14:30CET.
