Germany have to completely change tactics, says Low

The national team boss feels the time has come for his side to change their style of play and start pressing their opponents rather than wait for them to make a mistake
Germany coach Joachim Low has stressed that the Nationalelf intend to utilise a more pro-active style of play in the upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers.The Euro 2012 semi-finalists impressed with quick counter-attacking football in the past few years, but the former Stuttgart trainer is determined to take their game to the next level and play more dominant football.
"We will have to completely change our tactics – which used to be, 'if we have the ball we are active, if not we drop back'," Low was quoted as saying on the official Uefa website.
"Our aim in the next months will be to play a high pressing game, even against attacking sides. We have to be more active when defending without the ball.
"Everyone has to play their part and this gives us quite a lot of work to do in training but we have to tackle this now. Before the European Championship there was not enough time."
Germany start their 2014 World Cup qualification campaign with a home game against Faroe Islands on Friday.
