Magath hits back at Kjaer: He has a contract with Wolfsburg, not with me

The Denmark international recently stated that he does not want to play under the flamboyant coach again, but the 58-year-old is not impressed with the defender's comments
Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath has hit back at Simon Kjaer following the defender's recent comments that he has no intention of returning to the Bundesliga side as long as the 58-year-old is in charge.

The Denmark international spent the 2011-12 campaign on loan at Roma, and has set his sights on a permanent move to the Serie A side as he is desperate to leave Wolfsburg due to his bad relationship with Magath.

Nevertheless, both clubs have yet to reach an agreement over a transfer and Kjaer is expected to resume training with the German outfit this week.

"Kjaer has a contract with Wolfsburg, not with me," commented Magath to Bild.

"There are professionals whose comments would be a bit more clever in situations like this."

The 23-year-old's contract with Wolfsburg expires in the summer of 2014.
