Greuther Furth promoted to Bundesliga for the first time in their history

The Kleeblatter, who have three German championships to their name, can now look forward to a couple of Bavarian derbies against Bayern Munich next season
Greuther Furth have been officially promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time in their history after Friday night's 1-1 draw with FSV Frankfurt. The Kleeblatter had already effectively secured their seat at the top of table of Germany football during the week following Fortuna Dusseldorf's defeat by Dynamo Dresden.
However, they put the issue beyond all doubt by picking up a point against Frankfurt, a result which leaves the Bavarians two points clear at the summit of the standings but, more importantly, eight points above fourth-placed St Pauli with just two rounds of the season remaining.
Furth have won the German championship on three occasions - 1914, 1926 and 1929 - but they have never before graced the Bundesliga, which was founded in 1963.
