The German champions' boss has admitted that he is in awe of the way in which the Bavarians' chief has remained so "normal" in spite of all of his successBorussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on Bayern Munich counterpart Jupp Heynckes ahead of Wednesday's crucial Bundesliga clash between the two sides.
Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has accused Bayern of playing mind games ahead of a fixture that will have a massive impact on the title race, with the German champions going into the meeting at the Westfalenstadion three points ahead of the Bavarians in the standings.
However, Klopp has now attempted to smooth over relations between the two great rivals by revealing his admiration for Heynckes.
"He is one of the most successful coaches around and is a sensationally pleasant colleague," he told DAPD.
"I think that just as we all develop, Jupp has also developed. He used to be much tenser than he is today.
"What we can learn from the great coaches is that one can remain normal in spite of all of the success. He has been truly exemplary [in this regard]."
Dortmund's eagerly-awaited clash with Bayern kicks off at 20.00CET.
