Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has suggested Augsburg deliberately prepared a substandard pitch for last Saturday's Bundesliga clash between the two sides at the SGL Arena.
The German champions saw their eight-game winning streak come to an end after being held to a scoreless draw in Bavaria and Watzke has been left enraged by the state of the playing surface, accusing the hosts of foul play.
"Apparently, they tried every possible measure to divert us from success," the Dortmund supremo is quoted as saying by Derwesten.de.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc described the conditions as "very bad", while goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller felt that the goal area was "a health hazard".
Jurgen Klopp's men, who are five points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they welcome Werder Bremen to the Westfalenstadion on Saturday.
