Brazil's Neymar Hits Out At Critics After Draw With Paraguay

The Santos striker, whom many believe has failed to live up to expectations so far in the Copa America, lashed out at his critics and criticised them for being inconsistent
Brazil international striker Neymar has lashed out at his critics in the aftermath of his country's 2-2 draw with Paraguay in the Copa America group stage on Saturday.

The Santos attacker failed to score for the second consecutive game and has so far failed to set the tournament alight. He refused to speak directly to journalists after the final whistle, but remains defiant in the face of criticism.

Neymar took to social networking site Twitter to say: "The ones who criticise you today applauded you yesterday and certainly will applaud you tomorrow."

The 19-year-old forward then commented directly on the draw with Paraguay and stated: "It was not the result we wanted...let's lift our heads and work because there is more to come on Wednesday!"

One person who was free of Neymar's wrath was his team-mate for both club and country, Ganso.

He told Neymar on Twitter: "I love you little brother," to which Neymar replied: "Love you too little brother."
