Bahrain Vice-President Sheikh Ali Al Khalifa says he wants to follow the UAE football model of bringing players through a youth system.
Bahrain Vice-President Sheikh Ali Al Khalifa says he wishes to follow the United Arab Emirates football model by bringing young players through to the senior ranks.Al Khalifa wants to also build sport academies that are linked to the big European sides, which will help improve Bahrain football in the future.
"The FA will put a strategy in to sign new look after all national teams [fron youth to senior sides]," the vice-president was reported as saying by Goal.com . "We will use international and Arabian experience to push Bahrain's football forward.
"We want to prepare a new team who will be able to reach special achievements, especially with the age of our players who will probably not play too more international games."
