The Portuguese has completed a double, seeing off competition from Lionel Messi as the readers agreed with the editors' view that the Real Madrid man was the star of last season
Cristiano Ronaldo has won the fans' vote for best player of the 2011-12 season on Goal.com in the Goal.com 50, seeing off nearest rival Lionel Messi by a narrow margin.
