Facebook is by far the most popular social networking website amongst global internet users today. Everybody who is internet savy is sure to have a Facebook account in their name.

Everyday as you browse around, you will see new pages and groups being formed, statuses being updated, wall posts, pokes, etc. etc. This is a site where you can spend hours on the go and yet not get bored.

With the World Cup fever on in full swing, Facebook has been buzzing with status updates about the World Cup, new fan pages and groups about the World Cup being created, and a lot more.

Same is the story of the group titled Fifa World Cup 2010 South Africa. Goal.com contacted the owner, Vicky Sadhu, who owns this group on Facebook.

The 21 year old, who hails from Surat in Gujarat, is crazy about football and started the community to share his knowledge and insights about the game with others.

"I am crazy about football and have always wanted to do something for it", says Vicky.

"It was just another normal day on which I was using Facebook, and the idea of a community on the World Cup struck my mind.  I created the page so that I could share all my knowledge and insight about the game with everyone on Facebook, and make it popular as well", adds Vicky.

Popular it is indeed. The group has a fan base of more than 18,300 fans. On being asked how did the popularity of his page increase, Vicky replied, "I just created the page and invited all my friends to it. They invited theirs, and its just been going on and on. I did not use any special promotion techniques, nor did I use the advertising option on Facebook. I just kept it simple."

"Presently we are growing at a rate of more than 1000+ members per day", added Vicky.

On being asked about his favourite team, Vicky said Brazil is his favourite team and Kaka is his favourite player.
