Pakistan beat Bangladesh 2-1 in the other match played at the Halchowk Rangasala, but lost out to the Blue Tigers who have a better head-to-head record against Shahzad Anwar's side thanks to an own goal scored by Samar Ishaq.
India finish their group stage campaign with four points from three matches and will await the result of Friday's match between Afghanistan and Maldives, who have both qualified from Group B, to find out who they face in semi-finals which are scheduled for 8 and 9 September - both of which will be staged at the Dasrath Rangasala, also the venue for the final to be held on 11 September.
