Pakistan's national team is still raring to go claims coach, but have a mountain to climb if they have to overcome tournament hosts Nepal...
Pakistan’s coach Shaazad Anwar was a disappointed man, after his team dominated against India, but lost out due to some poor finishing and an unnecessary own goal that they conceded early in the game.
However he was diplomatic in his answers in the press conference, and stated, “Congratulations to India, they played well. Unfortunately we lost, though we played well. Hopefully we will have the same level of performance against Nepal.”
The coach did rue the number of chances his side missed, and commented, “Yes. I would say we missed many chances. Their keeper also made good saves, I guess we had some bad luck.”
Giving his views on the own goal and how it affected the team, Anwar replied, “The morale goes a little bit low at conceding but after that we created many chances, but today we missed.”
Looking forward to the game against Nepal, the Pakistani coach said, “Nepal is a better side (than India). We saw them play. They won that game and so their morale will be high. But if we play like we did against India, we should do well.”
