JCT's Baljit Sahni Delighted With SAFF Cup & Team Of The Week Selection
JCT striker Baljit Sahni was all smiles on being selected for two teams within 24 hours. The Indian squad for the SAFF Cup, as well as Goal.com's I-League Team of the Week!
And now, Sahni has been called up to the Indian squad for the upcoming SAFF Cup. Bob Houghton has picked an U-23 squad for the Indian team at the tournament, and Baljit is one of four JCT players to get the nod, along with Baldeep Singh, Balwant Singh, and Jagpreet Singh.
After being informed of his selection by Goal.com, Baljit expressed his happiness at the same.
"This is great news. I'm obviously very happy with my selection, and I hope to give my best at the tournament", said Baljit, smiling his way through.
The midfielder-cum-striker was also delighted as three of his club teammates got selected. "I'm very happy for them as well, as they have all deserved this call-up."
As well as being selected for the SAFF Cup, Baljit Sahni was selected Goal.com's very own Team of the Week for Round 4 of the I-League, his second appearance in the XI.
"I feel really glad that I've been chosen, that too for the second time in just four rounds. Moreover, I'm doing well for the team, which gives me a lot of satisfaction", he concluded, happily.
