India have climbed up two places from the 156th to the 154th position in the latest edition of FIFA rankings for January, and are placed 30th in the continent.

The Blue Tigers picked up a 1-1 draw in a friendly against Philippines (133) on 16th November before following it up with a 2-0 win over Nepal (165) three days later. Wim Koevermans' side seemed to have benefited from playing friendlies on official FIFA dates but haven't featured on the international stage since.

Iran are the highest Asian ranked nation in the 38th spot followed by Japan who dropped two places to 50th place.
