Football fans in the national capital are in for a treat as their eyes have an opportunity to feast on the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Arjen Robben and others.

The German giants, who are expected to touch down at the Delhi airport on January 9, shall play an exhibition tie against the Indian national team the following day at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Interestingly, this will also be the final occasion when Bhaichung Bhutia would don the national jersey.

A full strength Bayern side would certain attract several thousands to the stadium, which was empty for most of the SAFF Championship held earlier this month at the same venue.

Meanwhile, the District Court of Munich had ruled that Breno would not be able to travel because it had been decided upon his release from prison in October following his arrest in connection with a fire at his villa that he would not be allowed to leave the country. 

However, it was announced on Thursday that Breno’s legal team had overturned the decision.
