thumbnail Hello,

All is not well for India's frontline striker...

The Indian National team is currently having their month long training camp at Lierra in Portugal where coach Bob Houghton is stressing on building the desired level of fitness. While Climax Lawrence and Samir Naik continue to sit out due to injuries, skipper Bhaichung Bhutia is on his way back home.

Bhutia who complained of ill health in recent times has lost a considerable amount of weight during the camp. When examined it has been found out that he is struck down by thyroid.

Due to the poor health conditions Bhaichung Bhutia was not able to take part in the rigorous fitness regime undertaken by the coaching staff in Portugal. Under such circumstances Bhutia has been granted a two-week leave and is all set to fly back home.

The Indian skipper had a brush with Thyroid earlier as well when he had to be hospitalized for more than a month couple of years back.

We, at Goal.com, all hope that he gets well soon and rejoins the team's practice camp to help India prepare for the AFC Asian Cup 2011.
