Drama Ends As Gawli, Naik Join National Camp

As the full verdict of the AIFF’s Disciplinary Committee is yet to be announced, Gawli and Naik will resume normal training with the squad. The committee also has to decide the course of action to be take against Dempo SC, the players’ parent club who had initially refused to release the two players to join the camp.
The Indian FA's Emergency Committee suspended the two players from representing their club and show caused the Goan club as well.
“Our club doctor has issued the certificate that Gawli and Naik have recovered from their injuries. So they joined the national camp in Goa today.We have sent a letter to the AIFF along with the doctor's certificate that the two players have recovered from their injuries," Dempo SC coach Armando Colaco was quoted saying.
The AIFF Disciplinary committee is like to fine Dempo for failing to abide by the FIFA law which states that a player is obliged to report for International duty if called upon by the National side.
