Player Ratings: Bosnia 0-1 Portugal

Portugal booked their spot in South Africa at the expense of Bosnia, and Goal.com was on hand to rate all the players...

Raul Meireles - Porto (PA)
Bosnia

Kenan Hasagic - 7: Could do nothing for the goal, and made a number of smart saves to stop the scoreline getting out of hand.

Boris Pandza - 5:
Looked alright in the first half, but allowed Duda far too much space in the second, and could have done more to stop the ball getting across for the goal.

Safet Nadarevic - 5:
No major mistakes, but allowed a bit too much space in the box at times.

Sanel Jahic - 5:
Much like his defensive partner, dominated for long periods but let his concentration slip at crucial times.

Zlatan Bajramovic - 6:
Looked solid at the back, and even threatened on occasion from set pieces, but could not stop the goal.

Miralem Pjanic - 6:
Showed one or two touches of class, but was quiet for too long.

Senijad Ibricic - 5: Drifted out of the game after showing some initial promise.

Haris Medunjanin - 4:
Brought in to replace Misimovic but was anonynmous in the first half, and was promptly replaced.

Sejad Salihovic - 4:
Always dangerous with his crosses and set pieces, but ruined his night with an indisciplined sending off.

Edin Dzeko - 5:
Got absolutely no support so couldn't do much, but still showed one or two classy touches.

Vedad Ibisevic - 4:
Hardly in the game, failed to link up at all with Dzeko.

Substitutes

Zlatan Muslimovc - 6:
Looked more lively than Medunjanin, but still could not provide an opening.

Dzemal Berberovic - N/A

Portugal

Eduardo - 7:
Had hardly anything to do, but did make one spectacular save from a Bajramovic free-kick.

Paulo Ferreira - 8: Dominated his flank, and made one or two crucial last ditch interceptions.

Bruno Alves - 7:
Another commanding performance, and again showed his threat from set pieces.

Ricardo Carvalho - 8:
Completely dominant, a calm, assured performance.

Duda - 7:
Did well defensively in the first half, and then made a nuisance of himself going forward as well in the second.

Pepe - 8:
Dominant playing just in front of the defence, and caused plenty of problems bombing up the pitch as well.

Tiago - 7:
Did well as a replacement for Deco by providing a perfect assist for Meireles.

Raul Meireles - 8:
Controlled the middle of the pitch and got into dangerous positions, finishing his goal brilliantly.

Simao - 6:
Plenty of running down the flanks and kept the Bosnians busy, but could have created more.

Nani - 7:
Drifted in and out, but he certainly caused enough trouble throughout the game, forcing the Bosnians to stay back.

Liedson - 5:
Hardly had an impact, was a passenger for most of the game.

Substitutes

Edinho - 6:
Looked very dangerous after coming on, and should have scored but missed an absolute sitter.

Deco - 6:
Came on with the game won, but still showed some class.

Miguel Veloso - N/A
