Player Ratings: Atalanta 1-1 Milan
Milan scored an equaliser against ten-man Atalanta to draw 1-1. Goal.com rates the participants...
ATALANTA
Consigli- 8: Made a number of key saves, including a great stop on Pato that looked to be a sure goal.
Garics- 6.5: The Austrian made several excellent clearances, but at times struggled with the trickery of Seedorf.
Pellegrino- 7: Had no trouble dealing with the threat of Pato, Huntelaar, or Inzaghi. A composed performance at the back, as he dealt with the Milan siege on the second-half.
Manfredini- 6.5: Like Pellegrino, the centre-back put in a tough display, but was a bit reckless at times.
Bellini- 6.5: The left-back kept Flamini in check and often got the better of Abate as well.
Radovanovic- 5: Perhaps harshly sent off for a second booking in the 39th minute.
Padoin- 6.5: He assisted Tiribocchi's goal with a low cross that caused plenty of confusion in the Milan area.
Guarente- 7: A fighting performance in the midfield, especially after his side were down to ten-men. He let almost nothing get through the centre.
Valdes- 5.5: Missed an early chance to open the scoring and was not a huge factor for his side. Was subbed early in the second-half.
Doni- 7: A great performance from the veteran, who does not show his years as he skips away from opponents and was a constant threat with his crossing and strikes until being subbed off due to injury.
Tiribocchi- 6.5: Often lost his physical battle with Nesta, but he fired in a low shot to open the scoring on 21 minutes.
Substitutes
Ceravolo- 4.5: Was brought on as a fresh pair of legs, but rarely touched the ball.
Caserta- 6: Did plenty of chasing in the midfield.
Peluso - N/A
MILAN
Storari- 6: In all honesty he had little to do and no chance on the opening strike by Tiribocchi.
Abate- 6: Offered support both offensively and defensively down the right side, but nothing out of the ordinary. Solid, but not spectacular from the youngster.
Nesta- 7.5: The defender was on top form again, often coming across to cover and make crucial interceptions. He also provided a wonderful chipped assist for Ronaldinho's goal.
Favalli- 6: Doni and Tiribocchi caused the former Lazio man a few problems, but he held his own on enough occasions not to be a detriment to his side.
Zambrotta- 6: Made inroads down the left and put in a few delicious crosses. Better than a lot of his recent performances.
Flamini- 4.5: Anonymous in the first-half in a right-wing role in midfield, he was replaced by Ronaldinho at half-time.
Pirlo- 5.5: The Italian international offered support by dropping back to get the ball, but his delivery was extremely poor. He is capable of more.
Gattuso- 5: Chased the ball around, usually a tad late, and was eventually replaced to avoid getting another booking. His challenge also ended the night of Cristiano Doni.
Seedorf- 7: One of the Rossoneri's more determined players, he always tried to add an extra spark to the attack and was denied more than once by Consigli in the Atalanta goal.
Huntelaar- 6: Almost scored his first goal for the club, but his well-taken header was disallowed correctly for offside. Also had a great turn in the area that caused plenty of trouble. Maybe should have been given more time before being substituted.
Pato- 5.5: When 11 on 11, the Brazilian was shackled by the defence. In the second-half he was a bit more involved, being denied by Consigli and hitting the bar. In truth, he needs to be more involved in the match.
Substitutes
Ronaldinho- 6.5: Still wanting too much time on the ball, but he added a bit of creativity and also scored a nice goal to level the scores at 1-1.
Inzaghi- 5.5: The player was invisible and had no impact on the match.
Ambrosini- 5: In his cameo, he added nothing more than his predecessor Gennaro Gattuso.
