INDIA

Subrata Pal (9.5): Was a giant between the sticks for India and made excellent saves during the penalty shootout

Surkumar Singh (6.5): Played well and marched forward on a number of occasions but did not look very strong defensively

Gouramangi Singh (6): Played below par and looked shaky at the back, especially in the second half of the match

Anwar (7): Had a better match than on other days

Mahesh Gawli (7.5): Gawli was a star at the back for India and did an excellent job in the match

Steven Dias (7):
Continuously and tirelessly whipped in crosses from the flanks and looked dangerous on set-pieces too

Climax Lawrence (8): Started the match brilliantly but got fizzled out towards the latter stages of the second half

NP Pradeep (5.5): Played probably his worst game of the competition and looked lost in midfield

Anthony Pereira (5): Like Pradeep looked wan and lost in the middle of the park

Bhaichung Bhutia (6.5): Didn't have the best of matches but laid the ball well for his strike partner Sunil Chhetri on a couple of occasions

Sunil Chhetri (4.5): Was one of his more forgettable performances in an India shirt as he missed no fewer than three chances throughout the game. Luckily, they didn't count for much.


Substitutes:

Mehrajuddin Wadoo (4): Came on as a substitute but couldn't add much to the game. Also missed his penalty in the shootout

Renedy Singh (8.5):
His curling free-kick was one of the best goals in the match and he did more than his share in the match

SYRIA


Mosab Balhous (6): Looked good between the sticks for Syria but couldn't do it well during the penalty shootout

Ali Dyab (7):
Was good at the back and contributed to the Syrian attack as well

Esmaeel (5.5): Was a defensive flop for Syria and allowed the Indian attacking players to get the better of him on a number of occasions

Belal Abdul Daim (7):
Looked brilliant throughout the match

Hamzeh Alttoumi (6.5):
Didn't have the best of games today but did good enough

Wael Ayan (7.5):
Had a brilliant game and was one of the best Syrian players on the pitch

Abdalrazak Al Housain (7): Wasn't as threatening as he usually was throughout the competition but his talent made him a strong presence in the midfield

Moutaz Kaldini (7.5): Kaldini, as ever, was a threatening players for the opposition and looked marvelous again in the match

Bakri Tarab (6):
Had a fairly average game and didn't do much of note

Mohamad Al Zeno (4): He played brilliantly throughout the competition but failed to perform when it mattered the most

Abdul Fatah Alaga (8): Was again a nuisance for the opposition and terrorized the Indian backline

Substitutes:


Ahmad Haj Mohamad (6):
Came on as a substitute and look modest but effective

Raja Rafe (6.5):
Came on as a substitute and looked quite good
