Juventus-Milan Debate: On Elvis’ 75th Birthday, Diego Needs A Little Less Conversation A Little More Action Please
Today is the 75th anniversary of rock legend Elvis Presley's birth, and Carlo Garganese light-heartedly explains how it’s ‘now or never’ for Juventus star Diego against Milan on Sunday night…
“A little less conversation, a little more action please
All this aggravation aint satisfactioning me
A little more bite and a little less bark
A little less fight and a little more spark
Close your mouth and open up your heart and baby satisfy me
Satisfy me baby.”
These lyrics, originally recorded by Elvis Presley in 1968 for the hit song ‘A Little Less Conversation’, couldn’t sum up struggling Juventus star Diego any better at this current time.
When the Brazilian arrived from Werder Bremen in the summer for almost €25 million, he was expected to shake, rattle and roll the Bianconeri and take them to the Promised Land following three years of post-Calciopoli disappointments.
All began well as Juventus won their first four Serie A games of the season, but since then there has been a big change of habit. The fools that rushed in to champion player and club following the week two demolition of Roma are no longer pledging their love.
With the magic gone from Diego’s blue suede shoes, and fellow Brazilian summer midfield signing Felipe Melo failing as of yet to be the hound dog he was expected to be, Juventus’ season looks as it’s over with them trailing league kings Inter by nine points, and having already been eliminated from the Champions League.

What certainly would help Diego to get his and Juventus’ mojo working again is to do more walking and less talking…A little less conversation, a little more action please.
The trequartista is in the press far too much before and after games. Prior to this weekend’s crucial home clash against Milan, Diego stated: “Now we face Milan and it will be like a final for us. If we win, we move back into second place.
“We have a chance to finish top of the league, but we need concentration and match-winning spirit.”
Prior to the catastrophic Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich, Diego confidently proclaimed: “The team are going through a good period of form after the win over Inter and are ready to take on another great side such as Bayern Munich."
It has been a similar story all season for Diego. Far too much conversation, which isn’t satisfactioning the Juventus’ fans faded love, or the Big Boss Man who will soon be considering returning Diego to sender unless things improve.

With the raindrops falling on Diego’s head in Turin, it’s now or never for the 24-year-old to prove his worth. A silent night against Milan on Sunday and there could be no tomorrow, not only for Diego but for coach Ciro Ferrara who will almost certainly be leaving the building.
What are your views on this topic? Do you agree that Diego needs a little less conversation, and a little more action?
