There is a significantly Argentine theme to the attacking portion of this week's Serie A Team of the Week, with goals galore being collected by Albiceleste strikers.
An Italian takes the goalkeeping berth, though, with Mattia Perin's excellent performance for Genoa ensuring a clean sheet and three points from the trip to Livorno, while countryman Daniele Gastaldello is one of those protecting him following his match-winning display for Sampdoria against Cagliari. Massimo Gobbi also claims a place following Parma's 0-0 draw with Catania, and Maicon gets the other full-back slot for his performance in the goalless draw in the Roma derby. Walter Samuel is the first of four Argentines thanks to his first goal in 17 months as Inter beat Sassuolo.
Goalscoring midfielders were all the rage this weekend, with Bruno Fernandes netting in Udinese's 3-0 victory over Chievo and Gokhan Inler scoring an early equaliser as Napoli came from behind to beat Milan. Elsewhere, Rafal Wolski struck a first Serie A goal in Fiorentina's 2-0 win over Atalanta on Saturday.
There were braces all round in the forward line, though, with Gonzalo Higuain the first to double up in Napoli's victory against Milan on Saturday. Jonathan Cristaldo followed up with two first-half goals for Bologna at Torino, and Carlos Tevez copied the trend of his countrymen with a pair of his own before Juventus were pegged back by Verona's late rally.
