The Germany international features after his two-goal haul at the Britannia Stadium, while the Bulgarian looked like his old self in the Cottagers' win over Aston VillaIt was another fascinating weekend of action in the Premier League with defeats for Manchester United and Chelsea while high-flyers Arsenal and Manchester City were both held to draws.
Elsewhere it was a good weekend for Liverpool and Tottenham who both won while, at the bottom, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Norwich all picked up vital victories.
One of the games of the weekend was at the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal drew 1-1 with Everton; and we start in goal with Tim Howard (4) who makes his third appearance this season in Goal’s Premier League Team of the Week. The American made several fine stops as the Toffees followed up their win at Old Trafford with another fine result.

In defence, Jose Fonte (4) features after an impressive display against City. The Portuguese endured a shaky start but grew into the game and did a fine job against one of the league's top marksmen, Sergio Aguero.
Alongside Fonte is Fabricio Coloccini (4) who starred as Newcastle picked up their first win at Old Trafford since 1972. The champions were without Wayne Rooney but were still able to call upon Robin van Persie and Chicharito, but neither could find a way past Alan Pardew’s men.
Completing the defence is Mamadou Sakho (4) who put in a dominant display on his return to the Liverpool line-up and capped a fine performance with a goal as the Reds ran out 4-1 winners against West Ham.
As always there were a number of other players who were unlucky not to feature, Arsenal's Per Mertesacker (4) once again caught the eye, up against Romelu Lukaku, while Sylvain Distin (4) was also unlucky to miss out.
Into midfield and Steve Sidwell (4) makes his first appearance of the season in our Team of the Week after producing a first-class midfield display, as well as scoring the opener, against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Alongside the Fulham man are Gareth Barry (4), who once again starred for Everton, and Lewis Holtby (4) who tormented the Sunderland defence with his through-balls and passing as Spurs won 2-1 at the Stadium of Light.
Completing the midfield is Leroy Fer (4) who scored one and made one as Norwich picked up a vital win over West Brom.
Up front Dimitar Berbatov (4) hit back at his critics with a masterclass. The Bulgarian showed great touch and vision throughout as well as setting up the first goal and scoring the second from the spot.
Also featuring in attack is Cameron Jerome (4.5) who put in a relentless display as Crystal Palace picked up another three points under new manager Tony Pulis. The striker was on target and was unlucky to not add a second against Cardiff.
Completing our line-up is Andre Schurrle (4.5) who finished on the losing side as Stoke beat Chelsea, though the German scored twice and was unlucky not to grab a hat-trick after hitting the bar at the Britannia Stadium.
