|TOP: JAMES MOGA
The South Sudanese international made his debut for the Red and Gold in the I-League in brilliant fashion, as East Bengal broke their Shillong voodoo. The second highest scorer of last year's I-League was instrumental in Marcos Falopa's first league win as he invaded the Lajong defense line with ease. He was fed well by the midfield and Moga capitalised on the opportunities, by scoring a brace in the opening fixture. He also provided the assist for one of the goals, proving his all-round capabilities on the pitch.
| FLOP: MINCHOL SON
The Shillog Lajong skipper had the responsibility of keeping the prolific striking duo, namely James Moga and Chidi Edeh, of East Bengal at bay. The defender, however, was at fault in his side's humiliation as he failed to organise the back-line for the hosts.
