Real Madrid will win this this leg due to the obvious home advantage and the fact that they have a superior midfield. Manchester United's weakness, their defence, has been its strength for the last few matches, clearly showing the importance of Nemanja Vidic.
The Cristiano Ronaldo factor cannot be forgotten. But at the same time, the United attack seem to be in flow and if Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie can take their chances, it would be a much closer game. 2-1 to Real Madrid. Manchester United to win the tie at Old Trafford and progress.
I am a little bit worried as I think a repeat of 2000 might be on the cards. I see the same kind of circumstances, United were sailing and pretty much invincible after their treble, Madrid were crumbling, till Fernando Redondo happened. That said i'll go for a 2-1 at the Bernabeu for Real Madrid and United to win at Old Trafford and go through.
United will hopefully go through over the two legs. I think we are assured of a goal fest. I feel the deciding factor will be which team can defend better, and while the Red Devils have certainly been defending well over the past few weeks, Madrid have only been attacking more and more. On paper Madrid have a better squad and a better chance, but football is not played on paper, is it?

It's Real Madrid Vs Manchester United. This game has Cristiano Ronaldo written all over it. Its tough to say this but Madrid are being considered as the underdogs here. I feel that this game will be decided by one man. And the name of the man is Cristiano Ronaldo. Let's get ready to witness something special at the Bernabeu. At the home of the Spanish champions, we can surely expect a cracker, even if the home team is not in great form. This is going to be a game which can never be decided after the first leg. I am expecting the home team to edge the first leg 2-1.
It will be a score draw as United will be cautious, but they have too much quality in them to not score. Real Madrid will obviously leave gaps in their defense. Ronaldo will score and so will Robin Van Persie. Sir Alex will try to keep the scoreline in control and will turn the deficit(if any) around in the home fixture. United to go through 5-4 on aggregate. 2-2 draw at Santiago Bernabeu. 3-2 at Old Trafford.
With Cristiano Ronaldo in great touch after the hat-trick against Sevilla, the first fixture will be very difficult for Sir Alex's side, as they take on a Madrid side playing in full flow. Reports suggest that Pepe is back in the squad and with the quality signing of Diego Lopez, I think Real Madrid will be able to maintain a small lead going into the second leg and may settle for a draw at Old Trafford. Overall Madrid should make it to the quarter-finals with Ronaldo on the scoresheet.
Manchester United all the way! Mainly because Real Madrid have looked a shadow of themselves from last season with inconsistent performances throughout the season.
United have been scoring goals for fun and their attack should be good enough to see off Madrid and of course we've got Robin Van Persie.
We are practically out of the race to win the league and now the only hope is the Champions League. Mourinho will definitely depart in the summer and I hope he leaves in style by winning us another major trophy. The score-line doesn't really matter but a win against Manchester United will be one to savour. If Robin Van Persie is marked well by the center backs, half the job is done. My prediction is 3-1 to Los Blancos.
I am a Real Madrid fan and I could never stand the sight of Manchester United. I really hope the Red Devils are destroyed at the Bernabeu by the Los Blancos. If we get past United, I believe we will have one hand on the Champions League trophy. I think Ronaldo won't be scoring against them, it will all be in the hands of the midfield maestros of Madrid. Having said that, we will have to keep more than an eye on Rooney and Van Persie.

It's going to be a tough encounter against United, since our form this year has really been a mixed bag. I hope the master tactician, Jose Mourinho, has the last laugh over his old foe Sir Alex Ferguson. Robin Van Persie should be heavily marked or else we may have to pay big time. Ronaldo will be keen to impress and I am sure he will score at least one goal at the Bernabeu. Hala Madrid!
