thumbnail Hello,

The spirit is high among Bayern fans and Goal.com spoke to some of them and here's what they had to say on tonight's clash against Chelsea at the Allianz Arena...

I think Bayern have their biggest chance to win this year because we’ll be playing at home. Gomez, Lahm, Neuer and Robben are in top form and I am counting on them to rise to the occasion. I can’t say for sure whether van Buyten will start or not but he’s going to be rusty and that will definitely give the advantage to Drogba. I am counting on van Buyten to put in a worthy performance still. Chelsea will miss all their suspended players but they have experienced players like Fernando Torres who has played in some of the biggest matches in the world like the World Cup and Euro finals. Michael Essien is also an experienced player and can perform on the big stage. It's sad that I’ll have to watch the match at home with just a couple of friends. I want Bayern to win and I guess the match may go to extra time or penalties. So 2-1 to Bayern!

Hopefully, this will be Bayern’s year because the players have worked extremely hard to reach this far. I was happy to see that all players chipped in with goals at regular intervals and the team didn’t have to rely on only one guy. I guess the suspensions might affect the game a little and make it more open. Bayern should attack Chelsea and I think the team which will attack more will come out on top. Van Buyten might struggle a little against Drogba but so will Cahill and Luiz against Gomez. I expect Tymoshchuk to slot in beside Schweinsteiger in midfield and provide support to the back four. We haven’t planned a screening as such but we are pondering a get-together at a couple of places but it's definitely going to be fun wherever you are watching the match from. I always refrain from predicting matches but I’ll give the “favourites” tag to Bayern. Hoping to see some good football.

As a Bayern fan for years now, I definitely believe this is going to be Bayern's year. Just over a year ago we were in danger of not qualifying and had to reach the Champions League proper through the qualifying round. I don’t expect van Buyten to start because he’s just fresh off a lengthy injury but incase he starts I’m afraid that Drogba will have a huge advantage over him. I guess Bayern hold the advantage in the suspension problem because Terry, Ivanovic and Ramires have been excellent performers and will be dearly missed. On the other hand, Bayern had experimented with their starting line-up against Koln so that might come in handy now. With two young centre backs rushed into fitness against Muller and Gomez, Chelsea will have problems surely. The Official Fan Club will be watching the match at IGCC Mumbai (anyone interested can contact us on our FB page) but I’ll be watching it alone as I have work commitments.  Bayern is the better team and they have shown it time and again. Saturday will be no different, Chelsea deserve to be in the finals but Bayern's attack will be too much to deal with. Predicting a 3-1 victory to Bayern, expecting Gomez, Muller and Ribery to score and Drogba to pull one back for Chelsea. Hoping for a memorable game! Auf Gehts Bayern!

The Official Bayern Munich Fan Club of Mumbai has invited people to watch the game together at the IGCC in Mumbai. Interested people can contact them on Facebook.
