Juan Pablo CARRIZO
Catania

| An extraordinary effort from Carrizo to earn his debut on our Best XI, he stopped Francesco Totti's penalty as well as made key saves in the final stages of the match to deny Bojan Krkic, Miralem Pjanic and Erik Lamela. He was the main reason that the Sicilians were able to secure a point against Roma on Saturday. |

Mobido DIAKITE Lazio TOTW Apps: 2 |
Gabriel PALETTA Parma TOTW Apps: 2 |

| A player who has truly refound his form in the final quarter of the season, Bonucci was excellent against Cagliari to help Juventus' to the 2-0 victory in Trieste that secured the Scudetto and should be confident of his place in Italy's Euro 2012 squad. Meanwhile, perhaps Diakite was a tad fortunate to get away with a foul on German Denis in the area, but the centre-back did not put another foot wrong as Lazio got back on track with a 2-0 win over Atalanta to keep their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive. Elsewhere, Siena striker Mattia Destro had been in devastating form as of late but Paletta kept him under wraps with an accomplished display for the Gialloblu. | ||||

| Cerci has had an indifferent season and been in and out of the Viola line up, but in the end he has proved their hero, scoring the goal which secured their place in the top flight for next season as they defeated Lecce 1-0. The evergreen Zanetti showed no signs of rust when returning to Inter's starting side following a few weeks out with injury. The 38-year-old put in one of his classic box-to-box displays, recovering the ball in midfield and driving forward with purpose time and time again in the Milan derby, including a late run that spanned over half the pitch and nearly set up Giampaolo Pazzini for a tap in. Novara are going back to Serie B, but Rigoni is one of their players who has performed well all season and refused to give in. The midfielder's hat-trick brought him to 11 goals for the campaign as he punished basement boys Cesena. Pepe took advantage of the injury to Paolo De Ceglie with a lively performance in the Bianconeri's title-clinching win as Cagliari could simply not stop him on the left flank, and he tested goalkeeper Michael Agazzi on several occasions. |

Fabrizio MICCOLI Palermo TOTW Apps: 5 |
Diego MILITO Inter TOTW Apps: 5 |
Sebastian GIOVINCO Parma TOTW Apps: 3 |

| It was not the first time this season, but Miccoli managed to score a superb hat-trick in his side's 4-4 draw. The 'Romario of Salento' was brilliant up front in the high-scoring clash against Chievo. If that ends up being his final match at the Renzo Barbera, he will certainly be leaving on a high note. AC Milan must have nightmares about Milito. The veteran striker proved to be the scourge of the Rossoneri once again by bagging a treble in the Derby della Madonnina. 'Il Principe' prodded home from close range for the opener and then converted two perfect penalties in the enthralling 4-2 triumph that ended the title hopes of Massimiliano Allegri's team. Finally, Giovinco has been in scintillating form heading into Euro 2012. The diminutive playmaker looked inspired and his long-range volley against Siena should be a contender for Serie A goal of the season. |
