Arsenal midfielder Walcott had a disappointing showing against Manchester City at the weekend, but redeemed himself in the 3-0 victory against Wolves, scoring the Gunners' second goal of the match.

Italy playmaker Pirlo pulled the strings in midfield against Palermo and assisted Leonardo Bonucci for the first goal of the game. He built on his impressive performance by grabbing another assist against Lazio in midweek, and also tested Federico Marchetti on several occasions with his free kicks in a Man of the Match outing.

Dortmund midfielder Gundogan controlled the flow of play and scored a goal in the victory against Wolfsburg on Saturday, before he put in a typically solid performance in the first half against Bayern Munich as he exhibited his exceptional passing abilities.

Silva did not even make the bench for the match against Arsenal at the weekend because of injury, but featured from the start in midweek against West Bromwich Albion and was in scintillating form. The former Valencia star picked out some quality passes and scored City's fourth goal of the match to help the team stay in the race for the Premier League title.
