Liverpool will be still battling it out to make it into the top four when they host third placed Tottenham at Anfield on 7th February 2012 (1:30 AM IST).

Working on a limited budget yet leaving the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal below them, Spurs have been one of the most exciting team's this season.

On the other side, besides a fit Steven Gerrard, Liverpool will be revived by the comeback of Luis Suarez after the South American served his eight match ban.

Here is what the fans had to say about the contest and also about their club's activities during the winter transfer window.

Suarez is back baby!!!

It was our toughest month when the matches were drawn back in July/August with Spurs, United and Everton making up this month. Given the respective teams' performances in the league, this has been even more so. Coming on the back of a momentum building week where we beat leaders Man City and rivals Man United and sent them both out of the Cups, after the bad Bolton defeat and the awesome performance of Bellamy and the return of Suarez after the ban, this is all set up beautifully.

On us, it's not only about Carroll actually. Dirk Kuyt who has been having an awful season but has just had a good three game run where along with Bellamy and Carroll, the team has performed on the goals front much better than expected. The goal creation has never been the problem (as evidenced by our second best attacking third chance creation in Europe after Barcelona) - the finishing has. And there were not good strikers in the market for a good price and the only one we were interested in - Tevez - was not offered on a loan.

The Reds skipper was rested for the meeting with Wolves as he is slowly reintroduced following injury problems and could be joined by Luis Suarez who has served his ban

I think it is one of the toughest game for Liverpool but the game is at Anfield. So Liverpool have an edge. Suarez and Gerrard have come back, so I feel Liverpool will surely beat Spurs by a scoreline of 3-1.

Like every Liverpool fan, I am also disappointed, but in Kenny we trust. May be he saved that money for summer marquee signings like Eden Hazard, Edinson Cavani. Spurs have signed Saha - not threatening at all. Jermaine Defoe, Rafael van der Vaart, William Gallas, Aaron Lennon, Huddlestone are all injured. Liverpool surely have a good chance to seal three points, but at other end you can't ignore form of Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Emmanuel Adebayor. May the best team win.

It will be a tight one and that's for sure. Liverpool is in Red hot form after knocking out United from FA Cup and a good win by a three-goal margin against Wolves. Craig Bellamy will be their trump card, while Daniel Agger, Martin Skrtel are all in good form. Andy Carroll is also getting into some rhythm, but Tottenham will be a hard team to beat.

Spurs' attacking will the most threatening one. Bale and Parker would be the key men for them. I think Tottenham will win by 2-1!!

Tottenham are in far better form than Liverpool, as they have been for all of this season. So there is no doubt that they'll win. Also don't forget the scintillating form of Gareth Bale and Luka Modric.

Tottenham will know how to break down Liverpool's defence, with Harry Redknapp's excellent tactics. But again, Craig Bellamy and Dirk Kuyt are also in form now. Still, I think Tottenham have the upper hand.

I think its going to be an interesting match and a very enthralling one too. The match will be won or lost in the midfield. If Liverpool want to win then they have to control the pace of the game.

If Spurs are allowed to play their game then it will be tough for us because they play a very fast paced game and our midfielders aren't used to facing teams like that. If Glen Johnson can cope with the threat of Gareth Bale we will for sure win the match.

With Stevie G back after a well deserved rest and El Pistolero (Luis Suarez) back after his ban, I'd say a hard fought win for Liverpool, though Spurs will put up a real test. 2-1 for Liverpool:
Andy Carroll and Gerrard to score for Liverpool while ex-mersyside blue Saha to score for Spurs.

The former Manchester United striker is looking forward to getting started at White Hart Lane after making a shock move to Spurs from Everton on transfer deadline day

I think its going to be a good game. Even though Liverpool have looked a bit off the mark this season, there is no denying the talent of their squad - and you can never rule out Gerrard as he normally comes good in BIG games.

However, with our recent form and pace all over the pitch, I'm sure we will cause a lot of problems for the Liverpool midfield and defense and eventually come out with a win!

Prediction: Liverpool 1-3 Tottenham
