Football, eh? Bloody hell. Or something more original that someone else didn't say 12 years ago. But let's face it, 2011 has been one epic ride on the rollercoaster that is the world of football.

We've had players refusing to take to the pitch, fans refusing to back their manager, Fifa president Sepp Blatter refusing to accept there is racism in the game and Wayne Rooeny refusing to put up with his receding hairline much longer.
