The Algeria international had caught the attention of a number of clubs with his fine performances, yet will continue his career at the Giuseppe Meazza sideInter have announced on their official website that they have secured the services of Saphir Taider from Bologna in a co-ownership deal.
The Nerazzurri have reportedly paid €5.5 million for 50 per cent of the midfielder's registration, with the 21-year-old signing a four-year deal with Inter.
Head coach Walter Mazzarri was keen to add some fresh blood to his midfielder ahead of the start of the 2013-14 Serie A campaign and he has now gotten his desired reinforcement in Taider.
"What does Inter mean to me? A great team who have won everything. I’m happy," the Algeria international told Inter Channel after completing the move.
"I’m very happy to be here at Inter. Everyone knows this is a fantastic club. I’m overjoyed.
"I made a lot of sacrifices when I moved abroad as a youngster, so I can certainly say that hard work pays off. Now I’m happy to be here. It was one of my sporting ambitions. Now I have to work hard."
Taider is a product of the Grenoble youth academy and made the move to Serie A in 2011 when he joined Bologna.
He had since developed into a key player at Bologna, earning himself a transfer to Inter with his fine performances at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
