'I am at a decisive moment for my future' - Negredo ponders Sevilla exit

Manchester City are poised for a €23 million bid for the striker who admits he may have to leave the Liga side to satisfy his lofty ambitions
Alvaro Negredo has declared he is at a "decisive moment" as he contemplates a switch from Sevilla to Manchester City.

The Premier League runners-up have received the green light to complete a €23 million move for the striker after the Spanish side confirmed the signing of Carlos Bacca from Club Brugge.

The 27-year-old is believed to be happy in Spain, but he has admitted that Sevilla's recent lack of success could prompt a move to England.

"Right now, I'm at Seville and like it very much," Negredo told reporters.

"If I stay that'll be fine but if I leave then it will be because it benefits both the club and myself.

"I'm happy on a personal level - but collectively we have not achieved the goals we wanted.

"Now perhaps I am at a decisive moment for my future."

City have already completed the €17m signing of Negredo's former Sevilla team-mate Jesus Navas this summer, as well as Brazil midfielder Paulinho.
