Hernanes is going nowhere, insist Lazio

The club's sporting director Igli Tare has reiterated the stance of president Claudio Lotito by stressing that the Brazilian will not be sold this summer
Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has warned potential suitors that midfielder Hernanes will not be leaving the club this summer.

The Brazil international has caught the attention of the likes of Manchester City following his performances for club and country this season, prompting president Claudio Lotito to ward off any interested parties by insisting the player was not for sale.

Tare has now echoed Lotito's sentiments, stressing that the player has given no indication that he wishes to pursue his career elsewhere.

He told cittaceleste.it: "Will Hernanes stay? He's a staple part of the team. There are no ongoing negotiations or requests on his part. The president clearly spoke of what the will of the club is, we do not have to answer 'yes' or 'no'.

"He does not move from here. Lotito was clear."

Hernanes has bagged 14 goals in all competitions for the Biancoceleste this season.
