The 29-year-old does not expect to stay at the Emirates Stadium and admits to a feeling of "nostalgia" for his former side, unable to see himself playing for another French club

Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh has hinted at a return to former club Bordeaux, insisting that they are the only club in Ligue 1 for whom he would consider playing.

The Morocco international has seen his chances limited to just seven appearances this season, including a loan spell at West Ham, and concedes that it is unlikely that he will remain a Gunner past the end of the 2012-13 campaign.

The 29-year-old has only found the net 14 times in three years at both clubs since moving to the Premier League from the Ligue 1 side, with 12 of those coming in his first season at Arsenal, and admits that he is missing France.

Chamakh told Le 10 Sport: "There is always a bit of nostalgia when I see the Bordeaux fans and players. I spent so many good times here.

"However it has been three years since I left and we always talk about me here. I'll ask myself the question again; I'll see.

"Everyone knows that Bordeaux is the club in my heart. I'll have to make sacrifices because I can not stay like this. If I find an agreement with Bordeaux, why not.

"I know there's little chance of me staying at Arsenal. If I return to France, it could only be with Bordeaux."
