Reports on Thursday suggested the striker will move to Monaco at the end of the season but the coach of the French side has spoken sarcastically regarding the speculationMonaco coach Claudio Ranieri has joked that his side will sign Atletico Madrid's highly-rated striker Radamel Falcao at end of the season.
The 27-year-old is one of the most sought-after players on the planet at the moment and on Thursday Spanish TV station La Sexta reported he wanted to join the cash-rich French side for €60 million, who are on the verge of securing promotion to Ligue 1 this season.
Ranieri was in sarcastic form when speaking about the Colombian, comparing it to when it was claimed that David Beckham would be joining the club in 2012.
"It's like Beckham, all the rumours are true! If he comes I'll tell you everything," a smiling Ranieri told reporters on Friday.
Falcao has been linked with many of European football's leading clubs, including Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid, though a move to Chelsea has been looking most likely lately.
