Manchester City target Jovetic unwilling to increase buy-out clause in Fiorentina deal
The 23-year-old forward is reluctant to pen new terms and change his €30 million trigger amid reported interest from Roberto Mancini's side ahead of a summer move
Manchester City transfer target Stevan Jovetic will not discuss a new release clause being inserted into his Fiorentina contract, according to his agent.
As Goal.com revealed on March 9, the Premier League champions currently retain first option on the Montenegrin, having negotiated such as part of the deal that saw them sign centre-back Matija Nastasic in the summer.
And with plenty of Europe's biggest clubs likely to be interested in the 23-year-old at the end of the season, representative Fali Ramdani has claimed that there is no need to increase his client's current €30 million buy-out trigger.
"A new clause with Fiorentina? There is already one valid at €30m [£26m], and we won't change that," Ramdani told Gazzetta.
The Viola star has failed to hit the same heady heights as last season so far this campaign but has still contributed 12 goals in 23 league appearances for the Serie A outfit.
