Tottenham youngster Bostock joins MLS side Toronto on loan
The midfielder's career has stalled since his Spurs debut as a 16-year-old and his latest temporary move sees him link up with former team-mate Ryan Nelsen until the end of June
Tottenham midfielder John Bostock has joined MLS side Toronto on loan until the end of June.
The 21-year-old flew out to the north London club's American affiliate San Jose Earthquakes in February for a series of trials with a view to a temporary move until the end of the season.
However, the midfielder has now linked up with former team-mate Ryan Nelsen, who was appointed Toronto head coach at the start of the year, in Canada.
The former England Under-19 international signed for Tottenham from Crystal Palace in 2008 and became the club's youngest-ever player at the age of 16 years and 295 days when making his during a 4-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb in the Uefa Cup six months later.
Bostock's career at Tottenham has so far failed to live up to its initial promise, serving the majority of his time on loan at lower-league club's - most recently a six-month loan at Swindon Town.
